Data deletion

Effective July 7, 2026

The plain-English version

Three ways to delete: disconnect a single platform (its credentials and account data go immediately), delete your whole account (everything goes), or revoke Unbusied’s access from the platform’s own settings. Deletion is real (rows are hard-deleted and media is purged), and requests are honored within 30 days.

What Unbusied stores

If you’ve used Unbusied, we hold: your account details (email and name), the posts and media you composed, records for each connected social account (OAuth credentials plus the account’s ID, username, and avatar), delivery history, and follower/performance snapshots. The full picture is in the privacy policy.

Option 1: Disconnect a single platform

  • Sign in at app.unbusied.com.
  • Open Settings for the Social Set the account belongs to.
  • Choose Disconnect on the account.

Disconnecting deletes the stored OAuth credentials and the connected-account record right away. Scheduled posts targeting that account will no longer publish to it.

Option 2: Delete your entire account

Send a deletion request through our contact form using the email address you signed up with, and note that you’d like your account deleted. We’ll confirm from that address and then hard-delete your data:

  • your user account and sign-in identity;
  • all Social Sets you own, their posts, drafts, and delivery history;
  • all connected-account records and OAuth credentials;
  • all stored media, purged from storage;
  • analytics and follower snapshots.

Deletion is completed within 30 days of the request (usually much sooner), and any active subscription is cancelled. The only data that can survive is what the law requires us to keep, such as limited billing records held by Stripe for tax and accounting purposes, and even those contain no social content or credentials.

Option 3: Revoke access from the platform's side

You can also cut Unbusied off directly at each platform, which immediately invalidates the credential we hold:

  • Facebook / Instagram: Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites → remove Unbusied.
  • Threads: Threads Settings → Account → Website permissions → remove Unbusied.
  • YouTube / Google: revoke access at Google security settings.
  • TikTok:TikTok Settings → Security & permissions → Apps and services → remove Unbusied.
  • LinkedIn: LinkedIn Settings → Data privacy → Permitted services → remove Unbusied.
  • X: X Settings → Security and account access → Apps and sessions → revoke Unbusied.

After revoking, the stored data about that account (profile details, delivery history) still exists in Unbusied until you disconnect the account in-app or request deletion, so combine Option 3 with Option 1 or 2 for complete removal.
